  • My nephews go to the Everton Park and Mitchelton QLD events each year. I’ve been told they are wonderful. I can also recommend Hervey Bay Qld on Easter Saturday to head to the Torquay Esplanade markets for the Easter Bunny handing out eggs and other free craft activities.

  • This is a good list but agree where are ACT, TAS and NT?
I’ve considered taking my kids to a local one – but with so many people I feel it’d be chaotic & ive heats horror stories of parents joining in grabbing eggs for kids or bigger/older kids pushing and barging little ones just grabbing as many as possible. Not the way to spend Easter! Especially with one of my kids having developmental delays which means she can’t run, walks slowly and not well co-ordinated. Her school one ended with her in tears as she missed out finding even one egg as she got pushed out of the way & other kids grabbed, stashed, barged thru & basically went nuts.
At these family events I hope people can chill out & enjoy for what it is – fun for kids. A well organised & supervised event would be a lovely outing. Parents & kids please just enjoy, don’t be greedy & respect that kids are there to have fun & enjoy hunting for a few eggs.

  • Some would be a tad expensive but plenty that are low cost or free and would be such fun and a change from the backyard. Out in the fresh air, seems like a great day out.
