I am a plus size woman, and have been shopping at KMart for years. I have noticed their sizing and quality have changed over the years, some better, and some, no so much. I think the biggest problem with clothing sizes now is there is no standardised sizing, and hasn’t been since about the 70’s. We as a population are getting bigger, and, while a lot of stores are getting onboard, and that’s great, there is still an attitude against plus-size out there. And yes, there are other stores that cater for plus size, but they aren’t always affordable, and some are just plain ugly. No-one wants to look frumpy, some of us want to be fashionable and stylish. I think the first response from KMart was not well worded, and came across a little rude, the second response was much better, and shows that they are trying to help. Hopefully, in the future, KMart will consult with plus size advocates, use plus size fit models, and be a little more inclusive. They are getting better, but could always do more.
