Three separate child approaches within Sydney yesterday are under investigation by Police.

The first incident occurred at around 7.30am, when two girls aged 12 and 13, were walking on Marsden Road, Liverpool, when a man approached them on his red and black bike.

The girls ran away and police were notified.

Officers from Liverpool Local Area Command are investigating the incident and would like to speak to a man they believe may be able to assist them.

The man of interest has been described as being about 35-years-old, with olive skin and dark brown hair. He was wearing a dark blue jumper, grey tracksuit pants and had a black and white tattoo on his arm.

In a separate second incident, about 8am, two 15-year-old boys were approached in a white van on Clingin Street in lurnear, by a male driver.

Police were notified and would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The man Police would like to speak to is described as being of African appearance and aged in his 40s.  He has a short and stocky build and was seen wearing a black t-shirt.

The vehicle is described as having black and yellow registration plates with letters BV****.

A third incident on the same day involved a 12-year-old girl being approached by a man in a vehicle on Christiansen Boulevard in Moorebank.  

The girl ran away and police were notified.

Officers would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 55-years-old of solid build with short black/grey hair. He was seen wearing a red t-shirt and black sunglasses.  He was driving a maroon Holden Vectra.

The incidents are not believed to be related.

  • At least 4 of the children were probably on their way to school.
    Hopefully somebody will recognise and know who the distinctive number plates belong to and notify the Police.

  • This sickens me, even when my children where in their young years and their teens I used to drop them off and pick them up from school or take them to their friends and now 3 aren’t living with me anymore I worry but I also know they have to live their lives, I hope these people get caught ASAP.
