The death of a nine-month-old baby is being investigated by police.

The infant died after being taken to hospital in Western Australia’s Pilbara region.

It has been reported the injured baby was taken to Hedland Health Campus on Thursday before being flown to Princess Margaret Hospital in Perth, where the baby was later pronounced dead, WA Country Health Service told AAP on Tuesday.

Police are waiting for results from a post-mortem while the investigation continues.

More details to come.

  • Another little one who lost life.
Hopefully a post-mortem will reveal the cause of death………and the parents won’t have to wait months to be advised.
I know of a case in SA where a lady passed away in hospital. It was over 12 months before the relatives were informed of the cause of death…… in the Coroner’s Court.
