Queensland mother jailed for using her young son as a drug mule.

Toni Ness, from Ipswich, sold speed in front of children and arranged for her 12-year-old to do a deal, 7 News reports.

The 42-year-old was reportedly a substantial drug dealer but police were shocked with just how she served them.

She called the scene of the crime ‘the shop’. There were ‘shop keepers’ and children.

“The main target of this operation has been using a 12 year old child to deliver the drugs she has been selling,” Detective Inspector Gary Dixon to 7 News.

The boy escorted customers to a safe house where he then handed over the drugs and collected money.

Ness was given up for adoption as a 12-year-old after giving birth to twins at the age of 11.

She didn’t see her children until they were 16 and one of her children took his own life two years later.

The judge took into account her life and she was sentenced to five years behind bars.

  • Most of us use how we were brought up as a guideline of what not to do to our children – this mother obviously never learnt that. Hope her children get all the help they need.

  • Aw what a sad life ! To become mother at age 11, given up for adoption at the age of 12 (what an abandonment !!), not to see your children till they’re 16 and then one of the children committing suicide…
When I let that all sink in I think it is unbearable and understand she used drugs. Drugs do crazy things, including the loss of making responsible decisions.
I hope and pray this mum and her child(ren) get all the help they need.
    May God bless them !

  • Is how you were raised an excuse for how you treat children?

  • What a sad life this poor lady has lived. And how terrible dragging her 12 year old through her life. I can’t help but wonder how long he’s been involved in her drug life. I hope he gets help, otherwise he’ll be the same as her when he’s an adult. Very sad.

  • I hate to think what kind of an upbringing Ness had. I hope that whilst she’s in jail she can get some help to get her life back on track when she’s released.
