I loved these as a kid, deep fried heaven. But I tried them at the fisho not long ago and didn’t love the filling. More cabbage heavy then I remember.

  • No

    2.5 out of 5

I did not think it is the best one.I feel it has a frozen taste the usual flavour of a snack. Will not include in the cart

  • Good product

    3.5 out of 5

This is a convenient product to have in the freezer however I am not a fan of the taste- I feel like you need a sauce with it to give it taste.

  • Not that good

    3 out of 5

I used to love these as a kid. Not sure if my taste has just changed or it just tastes different to store bought and prepared chicko trolls but my family and i were not very impressed.

  • Not a fan

  • Gotta love a chiko

    5 out of 5

These are always in my freezer for a quick snack. I’ve found the air fryer does magic with these. They taste just like they do at side show alley at a fate or the ekka. 10/10

  • Blast from the past

    4.5 out of 5

It reminds me of when I used to go to the football as a child and chiko rolls were my food of choice. I loved when the filling fell out and I had it left in the end.

  • LUNCH GO TO

  • Tasty fakeway treat

    5 out of 5

So nostalgic in itself, from time to time I love a good Chiko roll. Super tasty, salty treat that hubby and I like. I find these cook best from frozen in the air fryer to be honest, no mess takes no time and safe and 3asy to retrieve out. Such a yummy snack for a lazy day.

  • Chico Rolls

    2.5 out of 5

We had some a little saltier than id like, but still good

  • Too salty

    3 out of 5

I used to love chiko rolls as a child and when I tried these I found they were too salty and also too oily on the outside

  • Better than fast food outlet

    5 out of 5

These have been around for like forever. Taste great deep fried. Nice and crispy on the outside and creamy veg on the inside. Be warned that they’ll be super hot once cooked.

  • Not a fan

    1 out of 5

I have tried these a couple of times and the outside is nice but I don’t like the taste of the centre. I just can’t get into it

  • Flashback

    4 out of 5

Chiko rolls remind me of my teenage years in the late 70s. The iconic take away food before we had too many choices. Good got a trip down memory lane.

  • The best!!

    5 out of 5

I was super excited when Chiko Rolls hit the supermarkets! I put them in the air fryer for 22 mins at 180 degrees and they are almost as good as the deep fried ones. Well I guess they are even better because they are healthier.

  • Who wouldn’t want a Chikko Roll

    5 out of 5

I absolutely love Chikko rolls and have to say the end bits are my favourite with a sprinkle of salt, I do have to compete with hubby to get one though

  • Quick and yummy

    5 out of 5

I love a good chiko roll. Now I’ve had them cooked at home in the oven I’ll never go back to deep fried servo ones again.

  • Canteen snack

    3 out of 5

This was a school favourite of mine. When I bought it and cooked it, it was actually quite soggy and did not crispy up nicely in the oven.

  • Not quite what I remembered

    3.5 out of 5

These didn’t quite taste the same as I remembered them but I did want to be healthy and oven baked them. Might shallow fry next time or buy an air fryer

  • Ok

    3 out of 5

Not as good as I remember then, but I guess I oven baked mine and I’m sure they would have been deep fried back in the day.

  • Perfect for cool weather.

    3.5 out of 5

My son & i love these! They’re delicious, and are the perfect hot food for cool days inside because they hold heat so well! Perfect when sprinkled with some chicken salt!

  • Takes me back

    5 out of 5

I know they are not very good for you, but oh how I love Chicko Rolls!! They taste so yummy and are such a great treat. We’re been cooking ours in the Air Fryer to make them slightly less naughty.

  • No, no

    0.5 out of 5

I bought these as I was curious in what they taste like. They taste like cardboard.

  • Not the best

    2.5 out of 5

These are not the best tasting things in the world but at every year I crave them and will eat all within one week. I use to eat them a lot more when I was a teenager

  • Taste like the shops

    5 out of 5

I love these chikko rolls. They taste exactly the same as when I was growing up. They are delicious. I don’t think I have seen any other brands aroun either.

  • Not as good

    3 out of 5

I was a bit disappointed with these. For some reason they didn’t taste as good as I remembered. I have bought them again from a takeaway shop but won’t be buying them from the supermarket again

  • Birds eye chicko rolls

    4 out of 5

Love that you can have one from the local fish and chip shop but also in take home packs from the supermarket. Meat and vegies in a delicious crunchy coating they are so yummy.

  • Tasty

    4 out of 5

After having one at my parents house in their airfryer I went and purchased some. Not having an airfryer I had to deep fry and didn’t taste anywhere near as good! Now I need to purchase an airfryer to satisfy my chicko roll cravings ????

  • Awesome Saturday snack!

    5 out of 5

I love these Chiko Rolls. I always like to have them in the freezer. Quick to heat up, healthy, full of veggies. Affordable. Awesome

  • Craving

    4 out of 5

Every now and then I get a craving to eat these. It is much cheaper to buy this then order them at the fish and chip shop
    Cook up beautifullly and crispy

  • aussie hit

    5 out of 5

fantastic!!!!! Bring the local fish and chip shop straight to your freezer. Tastes very delicious, a true Aussie icon. Love that it comes with the chiko roll paper bags, so cool. We accidentally overcooked them AND IT TASTE GREAT!

  • Great naughty treat!

    5 out of 5

These taste just like they do from the local take away store- when deep fried, although you could also do them in the airfryer. Either way, I love the taste, batter is perfect and they are nice and crunchy!

  • Healthy air fried

    5 out of 5

My family love Chiko’s! They taste authentic. I cook them in my air fryer as it’s healthier. Crispy on the outside, juicy vegetables on the inside. Comes with wrappers, too. I just wish there were more than 4 in the pack.

  • Old favourite

    4 out of 5

I have been buying these for years and they are still the same tasty chiko rolls I have always enjoyed. They crisp up really well in the air fryer.

  • An old time favourite as good as ever!

    4.5 out of 5

Who doesn’t like a chicko roll…….I had gone for years without buying chicko rolls as I was trying to avoid the fat intake of deep frying. After recently purchasing an air fryer, it was one of the first things I bought to try and i wasn’t disappointed. The air fryer cooked them perfectly without the added fat from a deep fryer and they came out perfect. Golden brown and crunchy on the outside, with that same vegetable filling that I remember from my youth!

  • omg I love these

    5 out of 5

I love these as a treat, as it is not something you would want to eat all the time. I didn’t fry them I just put them in the oven and baked them and it took me straight back to my teenage years. I loved them

  • Can't beat a chiko roll

    4.5 out of 5

Absolutely a favorite with my family, Brings back many memories of younger years waiting at the tucker shop for chips and chiko rolls.

  • So good

    5 out of 5

Can anyone tell me why a takeaway cooked chiko roll and a home cooked chiko roll aren’t exactly the same taste wise? It’s disconcerting, they are the exact same brand, yet cooked at home isn’t as good as the takeaway? Could it be the oil? Or maybe the fryer? There’s not a lot to make accountable for the difference. Or could it be the lower quality ones are sold frozen in the supermarket?

  • Delicious nostalgia

    5 out of 5

Birdseye chiko rolls are delicious and taste exactly as they did when we were in school. Golden pastry outer and soft vegetable inner. How could you not love these chiko rolls

  • Really good

    4 out of 5

Love love love these! It reminds me of my child hood we always used to eat them I still love the taste but they are not the healthiest product.

  • Great quick snack

    5 out of 5

I love these for a quick snack, especially while breast feeding they are so handy to chuck in the air fryer for 15 minutes, then munch down while giving bubs a feed!

  • Okay

    2.5 out of 5

I used to love chicko rolls as a kid but they aren’t what I remember them to be. Very high in calories, even when cooked in the air fryer so I tend to avoid these days. Still nice

  • Great taste and crunchy

    4 out of 5

We also cook these in the air fryer with no oil but they are still a bit greasy. I like how crispy they get and the flavours that mesh together. The pack size could be a bit larger and they are a bit on the expensive side.

  • Yum

    5 out of 5

    We love a chicko roll.
I put them in the oven, less greasy and I find they come out crispier
A favourite for my 4yr old son too

  • Chiko Rolls

    2.5 out of 5

Oh the Chiko Rolls takes me back to my childhood memories.
Was not a fan back then and still don’t like them just too oily and the taste is yuck

  • takes me back

    3 out of 5

These remind me of fish, chips, dim sims and chikos on the beach from a take away place. These crisp up nicely in the airfryer and still taste ok (although seem to be better after a big night out ha ha)

  • Can't beat a chiko roll

    5 out of 5

Fabulous Aussie icon of good right here. Golden crispy crunch coating and smooshy soft cabbagey filling. Eight minute in the deep fryer and they’re done.

  • family love them

    4.5 out of 5

Hubby buys them all the time and they are gone before they hit the freezer

  • Crunchy

    4.5 out of 5

I buy these for my partner and he cooks them in the air fryer. Says they taste better in air fryer then in oil. They are nice and crunchy. A bit pricey so only buy when they are on special

  • Chickooooo

    3.5 out of 5

Who doesn’t have a childhood memory of eating these bad boys! Love that we can now cook them at home but I think they still taste better at a sports ground or from the food court/fish n chip shop. I personally think they need a deep fryer to keep maximum taste

  • taste good

    3.5 out of 5

I only tried the chiko rolls sometime back. they taste good and are easy to cook. 4 pack serves our fam of 3. only if there were more vege stuffing.

  • Pretty good though...

    4 out of 5

Nothing beats homemade giant spring rolls which is what these are like they taste ok I’m not complaining and they are quick enough to cook

  • The Real Deal!

    4 out of 5

Haha! I loved frying these treats up. Quite abit of oil in small pan. One or two at a time when oil is hot. Turn as needed. They come out golden and have the Chiko paper bag with the label to serve. I love Chiko rolls as a treat. And to make them for Friday night tea, easy and exactly the same as fish & chip shop. It is deep fried. So…..depends on your feelings. I felt great.

  • Not for me

    2.5 out of 5

Didn’t really like it. Has an plastic taste to it and comes out wet and soggy. Definitely not something I will buy again. Not for me

  • Love a chiko roll

    2.5 out of 5

These chiko rolls are okay. More vegie filling would be better but we buy them every now and then. My husband and I grew up loving chiko rolls and still order them when we get fish n chips but for the occasional craving we purchase these to cook at home.

  • Fav pub snack !

    4 out of 5

I love Chiko rolls! Yes they have changed over the years but they are still a tasty treat! 15-18 mins in the air fryer and you have a perfect crunchy snack!

  • Tasty family pack

    4 out of 5

There are 4 chiko rolls in these packs so that is perfect for our family as each person gets one when we make a pack.

  • Family pack

    4 out of 5

I buy these particular chiko rolls because there is 4 which is one for every member of the family and so perfect for a nice dinner.

  • Not great

    1.5 out of 5

I loved these growing up but now they seem strange and more mushy inside rather than packed with vegetable. Disappointed and not how I remember it

  • Not bad

    2.5 out of 5

I went through a phase a few years ago of eating these all the time. I wouldn’t eat them now but they do taste alright.

  • Still tasty

    3.5 out of 5

Well I have always loved chiko rolls but there is less pearl barley in them now.
Still tasty.I would still recommend this product to other people.

  • Not as nice as they used to be

    3 out of 5

I remember Chiko Rolls being very full with vegetables however now they seem to be more mushy and flour packed. They still taste nice but just not as I remember them as a child.

  • Not as Good as Take-Away

    3.5 out of 5

I must admit that the old fashioned deed fried chiko rolls have a different (and preferable) taste to these Birds Eye Chiko Rolls, however these are a much healthier version and that makes the different taste a little easier to get used to.

  • Ok

    0.5 out of 5

It’s great that these are in the freezer section but they didn’t live up to my expectations. I found the taste isn’t the same as they need to be fried not oven cooked for best results.

  • All time fav

    4 out of 5

I couldn’t believe it when I seen these in the freezer section at the shops. I love a good takeaway chicko and now I can cook them up perfectly myself.

  • An oldie but goodie

    3.5 out of 5

I have been eating these for years from fish and chip shops but never bought them from the supermarket until recently. I cooked in the oven and it cooked up OK, but just didn’t taste the same as from a fish and chip shop – so I think in future I will just buy from there as a treat !

  • blast from the past

    2 out of 5

These need to stay in the past as a fond memory. Compared to other frozen snacks these don’t measure up. The taste is not there and I find them too salty.

  • Love Chiko Rolls

    4 out of 5

I cook them I the oven as they are not so oily this way. These are great for an easy, tasty dinner when you don’t have the time to cook and the kids love them.

  • Still got it!

    4 out of 5

Chiko Rolls have been around forever and a day and they still have it. As a special treat I will do these for my family in our deep fryer. Everyone loves them and I love them because it’s the easiest dinner ever!

  • Good

    3 out of 5

An oldie but a goodie. I do find them to get a little oily though. They cook up all right in the oven but you have to watch them otherwise sometimes they split and go everywhere

  • No Good!

    2 out of 5

Bird’s Eye chiko rolls were a favourite snack when l was growing up and l loved them.Today they did not quite measure up and l won’t be buying again.

  • brings back memories

    2.5 out of 5

These aren’t the greatest in nutrition nor do they look pretty but they tasty ok. We struggled to get them to cook right with a home deep fryer but found they bakes up ok.

  • I Love Chicko Rolls

    4 out of 5

I love chicko rolls. Yep if you have a deep fryer at home I highly recommend getting yourself a pack of these. They cook alright in the oven too.

  • Takes me back to my childhood

    3.5 out of 5

I used to buy these with my pocket money growing up. They are a lot nicer if you can deep-fry these however grilling will still do the job. The pastry can be quite tough to chew through and absolutely do not attempt to eat this straight after cooking, you will burn your mouth as the filling will be molten hot. The filling is really yum but includes ingredients you wouldn’t really expect to put together. Overall very delicious

  • Nice

    2.5 out of 5

Filling is tasty but outside is very thick

  • Average

    2 out of 5

I used to be a huge fan of chiko rolls but now either something has changed or my tastebuds have. The pastry also came out quite “soggy”. Won’t buy again.

  • Chiko Rolls

    3.5 out of 5

We had these as a special treat on a very cold day. It was a food blast from the past and we loved eating them – good flavour and the recipe seems to have endured.

  • Great Aussie icon

    4 out of 5

Did you know the chiko was invented by a boilermaker, and he nailed it.
I love a god chiko snack on the weekends, perfect and easy to heat.

  • Not my thing

    2 out of 5

This was my first experience with these and I have to say it will be my last. I wasn’t impressed with the taste and won’t be buying them again

  • Delightfully delicious

    4.5 out of 5

Birds Eye Chiko Rolls are a huge hit with the whole family, they are so easy and quick to cook and really reasonably priced. I personally love to add a bit of pink salt and vinegar before eating.
