I have eaten Barramundi up north and this isn’t the same taste and so it was no comparison when you have eaten Barramundi freshly caught.

  • Goodielicious

For frozen barramundi this is my choice.
Tasty and batter is just good.
Easy to cook, price is good.

  • Convenient and tasty

    4 out of 5

I avoid “fish fingers” but love the convenience of them – the baramundi fillets have a mild taste that my kids easily gobble up. Soft inside and nice crispy outer. I only buy when I see them 1/2 price as I dont feel the price is valid for what they package.

  • Love the crumble

    4 out of 5

Barramundi is a tasty fish but when eaten crumbled it is so much better. It is crispy and the perfect texture when eaten really hot.

  • Cook slowly

    4 out of 5

I don’t know if it’s just my oven but once I cooked these and only the outer covering cooked well and the inside didn’t taste great so cook slowly.

  • It was nice

I think the portion sizes were small but enough for us. Taste and quality was very good. A bit expensive
    Easy to cook. Will recommend

  • Devine barramundi

Absolutely delicious! Even the kids loved it! Sometimes these products can be “too fishy” in a bad way but my fussy 4 year old loved it

  • Hoki or Barra

    1.5 out of 5

It confuses me to see barramundi fillets and whiting fillets look exactly the same on Birdseye packaging.
There is no way that the texture of both fish look the same.
    Someone is telling us lies.
How can one variety of fish have different names and different textures.
Australian processors would not get away with what is being imported from across the ditch by calling one fish several names.
A barramundi is a barramundi and whiting is whiting.
    Cheers
    Bazz

  • Are they real barramundi

    1.5 out of 5

I think ashna9 hit the nail on the head. Tastes like Hoki. Most brands of fish in your supermarket freezer are from New Zealand but one packet really caught my eye.
Caught in New Zealand sent to China to be filleted them back to New Zealand to be crumbed or battered.
From plain label to the best name its all the same except for Price.
    Cheers

These are very good, taste excellent however I can’t tell the difference between these and the hoki fish. They taste pretty much the same to me.

We bought it for quick meals when we cannot be bothered cooking. It tastes really nice for something frozen.
It’s an easy and tasty meal.

  • Quite good

    4.5 out of 5

I actually bought these for a quick dinner tonight. Healthy enough and if my kids eat fish I’m happy. The crumbing is tasty and not too much. Very quick to put in oven. There’s another type with whole meal crumbing – love these too. Bonus is the kids think they’re having a treat – and great for adults too. A true family meal. Only down side is price compared to number and size in pack. But brand wise Birdseye is trusted and a favourite.

  • Easy meal

    4 out of 5

My children and I do not eat meat on Fridays therefore if I forget to buy fresh seafood this is my quick and easy option for dinner. I add a salad or fried potato chips with it. The taste is pleasant and the children eat all of it with no complaints.
