I only buy Sealord fish products because I know where they are coming from – New Zealand waters. They are coated in crunchy breadcrumbs and not soggy as you can get them with other brands. And of course they are very tasty.
I really like these gluten free fish fillets. They’re nice as crispy and have a pleasant fish flavour. Quick and easy to cook and something the whole family enjoys.
I only came across these last week & was so excited to have some crumbed fish again! These cook so easily, the crumb is deliciously crunchy, though some of it stuck to the tray while cooking. But overall delicious and so far, my gf crumb fish of choice!
One of my favourite fish pieces is Hoki and these Sealord gf hoki fillets are very nice. They are easy to prepare – just heat and serve with chips and tartare sauce.
This hoki fish is only good if you heat in the microwave for a minute then cook in the air fryer. Its the only way I can get the thick batter cooked right
The fish itself is nice, as is the outer crumb but there is a very thick stodgy batter layer that had a rawness to it. I tried cooking for longer but then the fish dried out
These fish fillets are great I love that they’re real fish fillets and they taste awesome really nice super quick and deliciois too makes a great addition to dinner
The more gluten free stuff the better. It generally means that its covered in whole grain flour instead of plain flour. Tasted delicious and great for people with coeliacs.
Apart from being way over priced as most gluten free things are the Sealord Gluten Free Hoki Fillets didn’t taste good at all. The outer crust was nice, tasty and crispy but the fish just didn’t taste good, tasted like it was old fish and really fishy in taste and the texture was pasty, had to throw the rest of the box out, didn’t like it at all.
Why does gluten free always mean more expensive?! Yes, they’re yummy. The fish is thick and moist and juicey. The coating is tastey and just the right amount of crunch. But for the price, it’s not something I’ll buy very often
This usually sells at $9.99 which is expensive for 4 small pieces (yes I know, it’s GF). But I buy it when it’s on special & stockpile in my freezer. Great to have a GF crumbed frozen fish option.
