  • Love the chunk

I love the chunkiness of this product. Also prefer the tempura, it gets a great crispness up on cooking.

  • Loooooove it

As a kiwi, I love this. I love Hoki, and I love the tempura/beer battered version more than crumbed any day. Imo this is the best frozen fish out there.

  • Yummy

Mild fish flavour. Quick and easy to bake. Tempura coating is golden and crispy once baked. Reasonably priced. Try to keep a box in the freezer for a quick go to meal.

  • A favourite

The tempura coating is definitely a game changer. Loved by my kids and the adults too of course. Tastes very fresh and delicious, cook it crisply!

  • Good size

    4 out of 5

The tempura batter comes up nicely in the oven, and the hoki fillets are enjoyed by even the fussiest of our children. 6 fillets is a good amount.

These are such a convenient product to have in the freezer! They cook well, taste great, and are liked by adults and kids in this house.

  • My favourite frozen fish

    5 out of 5

We love this fish in my house, the tempura batter is reasonably thin (not as thin as you would expect from a Japanese restaurant but not bad for something from the frozen section), and the fish flavour is subtle but tasty. We use this fish for our dodgy and not at all authentic fish tacos, and it gives a good crunch and flavour to the dish.

  • Disappointing

    1.5 out of 5

Slushy fish with a decidedly frozen fishy taste and batter was crispy on the outside but slimy on the inside. Compared it with a product using Australian Hoki but made in Thailand, it was vastly inferior. The Aussie one tasted fresh, wasn’t mushy or smelly and lovely crisp batter.

  • can actually taste the fish

    4 out of 5

There are so many frozen fish varieties where all you can taste is the batter or crumb and the texture of the fish is mushy. These ones seem to have a good texture and flavour.

  • Very good!

Sealord hoki fillets are a great mid week meal we enjoy with chips or salad. The tempura batter is lovely and a slice of lemon just perfect!

  • Love it!

The temputa batter is so delicious, a perfect batter, that adds that little crunch to a delicious fish. We love love New Zealand Hoki, it is a delicious fish, that has lovely texture and beautiful flavour. A true family favourite of our family home.

  • Our go to fish.

    5 out of 5

These are our favourite Hoki fillets. The batter and fish are delish. I cook them in my airfryer and they come out golden and crisp. They’re quick and easy and great with any type of salad or even vegetables. I also like to smash them up and eat them cold in a sandwich with a little tartar sauce.

  • Kid friendly

    4.5 out of 5

Kids love them, its great to have a box or 2 in the freezer for nights you want a quick meal or you feeling like the good old favorite of fish n chips. Great value for money

  • Perfect

Love the tempura batter on this beautiful Hoki fillets of fish. Kids love them and they are a lot cheaper than the local fish and chip shop.

  • Frozen Fish Done Right!

    5 out of 5

I’m not a huge fan of seafood, would prefer a flake from the fish and chip shop, but as these are much cheaper and healthier I like to buy them sometimes for my kids and I. I actually like these! The batter is very yummy. Great alternative to greasy takeaway.

  • Better then then takeaway!

    4.5 out of 5

I love Sealord hoki with tempura batter, the fish is moist with the perfect crispiest batter that is a big hit for my family. Lovely with a fresh salad and some home made chips! Better ( and healthier) then takeaway!

  • A hit

I’m allergic, but I buy these for my husband and children occasionally. They really seem to like them especially when they also get chips with them. Not badly priced either.

Sealord Hoki Fillets in Tempura Batter are quite delicious frozen fish fillets. They have a nice coating that tastes good and a soft fish fillet inside the tempura batter.

  • Tempura Batter is so delicious!

    5 out of 5

Friday night fish n chips – solved!! I love frozen fish, lets be honest, most fish and chip shops have frozen stuff now, so I would prefer mine to come from a big trusted brand. This product does not disappoint – do turn it half way through the cook, so it is crunchy on both sides.

  • Love this fish so yummy
