I’m not a processed food fan, but mum got this to try help him sleep at night as she thought he was hungry. He tolerated it with boiled water but not milk. Either way he didn’t really like it and I don’t think it’s providing any benefit.
this is good for weaning your baby on to foods mixed in with formula, my eldest took along time before finally transitioning to foods but loved having this cereal for breakfast while we tried other foods. i also got told you can put them in their bottles as a thickener but i never tried it that way
Ok in concept as you can make it as thick as needed. .only problem was my bubs didn’t like it at any consistency so I just used it to thicker up other meals
I didn’t like using this with both my babies. Each time that I gave them some they hated the taste and would end up constipated afterwards. Won’t buy again.
We love this product in our household. With twins who have feeding problems we have this every morning with formula or breastmilk added. We incorporate peanut butter or purée fruits into it to make it different each day.
Such an easy thing for little learners. Good value pack and $$ also which is a major bonus for us.
Definitely recommend. Was recommended to us from our children hospital feeding team also which is an absolute bonus.
Smooth and plain easy for little picky starters. My baby started on solids with this cereal. He absolutely loved it due to texture and he was not happy having strong flavoured purées in his mouth. Has added iron which is a plus. Love all cerelac a and trust the brand, highly recommended.
We used this as our sons first food. He actually really enjoyed it. Very affordable and a great starting point for bubs! Will be buying for future babies
It’s easy and quick to make but my boy isn’t too keen. I tried to mix in some pureed fruit but he only took a few spoonfuls and then turned his head. I think he just doesn’t like the rice flavour
My boys both had this as their first solid introduction and they both took to it nicely. Would mix with both breastmilk and water and that’s where their love of food begun.
I mix this with water and add it to vegetable purees. My daughter doesn’t mind eating it by itself mixed with water either. This is a great first product when introducing your baby to solids
This was very good to start solids with. Bub had no trouble digesting it. You can adjust the consistency to as your baby likes it. But i found it caused constipation if given too much or too frequently.
My 4 month old loves this and it was so quick and easy to make my 5 year old made it and followed the directs I gave her it was amazing and my little man loved it this is my new breaky for him
We have just started giving this to our daughter as an introduction to solids. It mixes well, and has been received well so far. The serving size is a little on the larger size for starting out.
My baby really did not like the taste of this rice cereal at all. Tried mixing with water, breastmilk and even formula but was rejected each time. Will not buy again.
I remember me and my sisters eating this.
This is reslly good.
Have a good texture and filling.
My little one had this and she loves it.
Easy to prepare.
This cereal was awful as it’s made of rice it bound my baby boy up. I threw the packet out and switched to a wheat based cereal. Don’t recommend if your baby’s prone to constipation.
a lovely snack for young babies! my daughter liked eating this and it always went down easily so i bought this quite often for her. helps with the stomach.
My little man just loved this so much! For a picky little one this was one of the things he just loved to eat. Will be buying again for my next little one!
I give cerealac to my 4month old son. He loves eating it! Instead of using water to mix the mixture, I use his baby formula. It gives him an extra flavour and a less bland taste. He loves it!
This was a great base for many dishes. I rarely used it on it’s own but added lots of soft vegies or even turned it into pikelets and gave them strips to chew on as they got older.
This is easy to make, and readily available in the supermarkets, but I think the texture is not that good for my baby and he does not appreciate much the taste.
I exclusively breastfed until my baby was 5 months old. He was feeding constantly and I knew he needed more. I started with baby led weaning but he already had four teeth and was biting chunks of food and I was worried he was going to choke. He couldn’t eat enough this way to satisfy his hunger so I started mixing home made stewed vegetable and/or pear with Cerelac to ensure he was getting enough iron. The pear or home grown prunes on occasion eased the constipation my baby suffered from when he transitioned to solids. I was adding my own probiotics but I like that they’ve added them too. I’m not sure how they hold up to not being refrigerated though. The cereal mixes well with water and a few times I used breast milk I had left over in the freezer.
The nestles cerelac food is great for starting baby onto solids it’s the first step to giving baby the extra food and the best for there tummy for starting out
I though l should give this a go when introducing solids, nope! We tried it once and the rest was given to our dogs. There’s so many opinions on feeding that new mums can get confused, l suggest read all the ways to start solids and trust your own instincts.
