I always have a packet of Date Loaf Mix in the pantry in case of unexpected visitors. All you need to add is one egg and water and it is done and tastes good when warm.

After a lifetime of baking from scratch, I recently discovered the Greens Cake Mixes because they were on special. The Traditional Date Loaf was my first and I was amazed that it tasted just like a home made cake and was so deliciously moist. Thumbs up to this Australian company.
