I love these hokkein noddles. I use them in so many different dishes and they never disappoint. I do soak mine in boiling water for around 5 minute until soft and then rinse very well to remove any residue.
These noodles are simply not nice. They are too yellow – when uncooked look like plastic – when stir fried they break up into mush. Sure they are covenient because they are quick – but really not worth the money. For an extra few minutes work just prepare fresh noodles to add to your stir fry.
We add these to our stirfrys to add texture but a lot more expensive than rice so its a sometimes treat for us. Great to be able to just add to the wok
Why is the product so yellow? I’ve never seen such yellow Hokkien Noodles. Not authentic whatsoever and has this greasy feel to it even before adding to the wok for a stir fry. Not to my liking and it just feels like plastic rather than noodles.
