This product with dried fruits is poisonous to many.
It contains high levels of sulphate.
The sulphate that is used on match heads.
Please know that it’s in kids sultanas and many products like this.
I was severely sick from sulphate dioxide posioning
I always have a can of these lentils in the cupboard. Handy to throw in a soup or a cous cous salad. They are tasty and all the hard work has been done, no presoaking, they are just ready to go.
So many more of our meals are meat free, so these lentils are quick and easy to turn into something wholesome and delicious. I love that they don’t need to be pre-soaked.
I bought these by accident. I was getting beans but grabbed these without looking properly. I gave them a go and although they are ok and easy to eat in a salad I think I’ll stick to beans. I found the taste a bit flat.
Lentils are a legendary addition to salads, soups, stews, stuffing, every bloody thing! The tinned ones are awesome, as they are already soft – the softness can be a challenge for newby’s to lentils
