I’ve used this spice in a rice dish once before and to be completely honest no one was a fan. I personally found it to taste like soap and the aroma was like an overpowering men’s deodorant. Not a spice that i would by again.

I’m kind of a spice snob, and I’ve been grinding my own cardamom because I’m just not happy with the quality of supermarket ground cardamom.. But let’s face it, it’s such a pain getting the seeds out of the pods and then taking out the mortar and the pestle and going to work. Finally, laziness got the best of me and I ordered this stuff. All I can say is: I’m putting the mortar and pestle away, because this stuff really packs the fresh cardamom punch that is my secret ingredient in baked goods, oatmeal, and all kinds of savory dishes. Absolutely delightfully aromatic and tasty, and very well priced.
