  • Subtle

A recipe I cooked recently called for mustard powder so I bought this one. The taste is subtle. I’m thought it would be strong like a Dijon mustard but it’s barely noticeable.

Who doesn’t love a beautiful mustard in there cooking. Keens Mustard Powder has been a staple in my pantry for as long as I can remember. Great taste and handy to keep in the container.

So many other mustard powders are not strong enough in flavour and i end up having to add lots when really a recipe called for only a little. This Keens mustard powder has a great strength of heat and flavour.

This is the “tried and true” mustard, my mother and grandmother used this & its still as relevant today, and back then. Nanna used to use with cold tea for flavour, I personally find the flavour is just right as it is. Great for curried eggs, mixing with gravy for roasts and anywhere you want to add the great taste of curry to your dishes.

I always have a tin of this in my pantry and it lasts for years and I disregard the use by date because it never goes off. The only thing I use it for is my beef meatloaf and it goes it a nice little twang.

Keens already have a terrific must have curry powder and the partner to the curry powder is the mustard powder. It is just as good and easy to use as the curry powder.

  • Mayonnaise additive

    3.5 out of 5

Mustard is an ideal ingredient in homemade mayonnaise. Though rarely done you can also put less curry powder and add a small amount of mustard in a curry to vary the flavour. Some also add a tiny amount of mustard powder to white sauce

  • easy and simple

Even though it’s powdered it does add a rather nice taste for dishes that requires mustard.
although if put in the wrong thing it can taste horrible
