I must admit, open my pantry and Dolmio is easily spotted. This is my favourite tomato pasta sauce, not just for pasta dishes, well ok, spaghetti bolognaise is my favourite for this sauce. Love the flavour, the richness.

I really like the classic flavour of tomato, as simple done well is really tasty. This is rich and has a really good consistency, and always buy this and others from this range.

A pantry staple really, as it is great for when whipping up a quick pasta meal, it goes fairly well on a pizza base, is yummy to add in to stews and anything that requires a bit of a tomato flavour and sauciness.

I actually find this sauce is too ‘tomatoey’, if that makes sense. I prefer something with other added flavours to give the sauce more depth. It is a good sauce though, so if if it is all I can get, I buy it and add herbs and spices myself.

Dolmio’s traditional classic tomato pasta sauce is a great sauce for general pasta recipes and the good thing is you can add more to it if you want. I often fry up zucchini slices or sliced mushrooms and then add the Dolmio to make the sauce a little more filling and tasty.

We are a big pasta family, must be the Italian heritage. I have tried this sauce and am not a huge fan of it. There is another brand I do prefer which is less tomatoey and more meaty.

Just plain. Unfortunately it is a great sauce with just a mild tomato flavour. A good base for my lasagne but it means I have to add so much more flavour it almost wasn’t worth it.

This is a great go to product for an easy spaghetti however not enough on its own. Must add extra flavour for better depth and tasty meal
