    Not the best chilli con carne but not the worst. Just not as full flavoured and punchy as I like my chilli for hot dogs and fries. I had to add extra spices and chilli. Wouldn’t rush out to buy it but wouldn’t say no if it were on sale

    This is my favourite recipe base. I dont use it with mince. I replace the meat with more beans – kidney, black, pinto etc. Makes great vegetarian alternative.

    I like to keep one of these in the pantry as a standby – not for Chilli Con Carne, as I love to use my own combination of herbs and spices for a truly spicy recipe and this doesn’t come close to the heat and flavour I love – but to mix in with mince for filled jacket potatoes or to add a little kick to the pasta meat! If you love a true hot Chilli, this won’t make the grade – but as an additional seasoning to other mince recipes and/or burgers, this is quick and easy!
