Quite a nice recipe base, but I actually prefer the Shepherds Pie Base when cooking either Cottage Pie or Shepherds Pie. This one doesn’t have as much flavour, but is still good if you don’t want to buy all the individual herbs and spices.

We used these when we were overseas, to cook up a cottage pie, using vegs etc and meat, but without having all your spices at hand. Made life so much easier and still cook up a tasty treat when you’re yearning for a home-cooked meal.

The Asian flavour doesn’t work with cottage pie. Obviously made by Simone who has never tasted a true cottage pie. Very poor.The dogs enjoyed it.

I have used this product many times and find it is really delicious, used in a home made pie with vegetables and mash potato its a real favorite.

I’ve never been a fan of packet meals, probably cos I’ve not found one I’ve liked, but when I see one I haven’t tried……I’ll give it a go. I won’t buy it again. Very plain, not much flavour and very processed
