Riviana Basmati Rice Pakistan Long Grain is easy to prepare and is a fragrant rice. My family likes it when paired with curries. Overall a good rice.

Really can’t fault this Riviana basmati rice as it resulted as i had expected. However I am not going to give it full marks either as there are plenty of other great options available too.

I don’t know why, but I wasn’t too impressed by this product. It didn’t taste the greatest, and don’t cook evenly. I wouldn’t repurchase again.

This used to be an okay rice and we used to buy it but not anymore! The color is just off and it has a bad smell to it that even after several washes, does not seem to go away. I thought what I have was just a bad batch but bought it again on a different store and the same bad quality.

I used to buy this rice all the time but I have noticed in the last batch which was purchased 2 weeks ago there is no taste and the quality has significantly declined. I agree with the other reviews that it made the family sick

We always bought this product without problems but the last 3 times (2 different packages) a few weeks apart, this rice has given my two young (6 and 8) children vomiting and diarrhoea (bought on special from Woolworths in the last month). I will be paying for a test of this rice. Please let me know if anyone has had the same reactions on this forum.

We always bought this product without problems but the last 3 times (2 different packages) a few weeks apart, this rice has given my two young (6 and 8) children vomiting and diarrhoea (bought on special from Woolworths in the last month). One had to go to hospital a month and a half ago, the other thought he was dying (two weeks ago) and we were set to go to emergency but after 8 hours of almost constant vomiting and diarrhoea (every 10 mins), he slept and recovered. We couldn’t feed him for the whole day as he would just throw it up. We only slightly suspected the rice before (thinking just a coincidence and the adults aren’t sick but last night my daughter had the rice again and this morning from 6am is throwing up and and has severe diarrhoea.
I will be paying for a test of this rice. Please let me know if anyone has had the same reactions on this forum.

I always buy this when on special it has a nice flavour and easy to cook definitely a great product when on special

This has become my household’s favourite rice. I always buy it when on special at half price. It keeps well, cooks quickly and tastes very nice!

I bought these rice because of the word “Basmati”and I am not happy because ts not basmati. They easily break while cooking which means they are any other ordinary rice because basmatic rice doesn’t break and keeps their shape and they have that beautiful aroma which these rice was lacking. Its not basmatii so I will not buy it again.

My family really likes this rice. Seems good quality. It is often half price so we grab a bag and find it lasts a while!

DO NOT BUY THIS if you are after the aroma, fragrant, mouthfeel and texture of basmatic rice. I bought this expecting basmatic rice but was extremely disappointed and flabbergasted that this was sold with the word ‘Basmatic’ on the packaging.

This rice is essentially long grain white rice which you can get at a much cheaper price with supermarket homebrand white rice.
