There are SO many dishes you can cook up using humble chicken drumsticks.
Purchase them in bulk – couple kilos at a time.
So many ways to drum up a quick and easy meal with these… from making soups, curries, quick finger food for picnics, lunches, etc only limited to your imagination.
The drumsticks make an excellent and tasty soup, and unlike other bone soups, doesn’t take too long to cook. I don’t like the tendon bit, but the chicken is always tasty and moist.
My favourite uses for drumsticks is either roasted as part of a traditional chicken roast, or I boil them for chicken broth. I make the latter whenever someone in the family has a cold.
Chicken drumsticks are a delicious snack or mealthat tastes great and everyone loves them. They are handy for picnics with a side salad and so easy to make.
Chicken Drumsticks are fantastic with the kids. Cooking them on the bbq, in the oven, or in a pot. So many choices and flavours to choose from whuch you can coat. I love to crumbed, and cook in oven to get a crispy skin. They are also get value for money
It depends on the price whether or not they are a good buy. There is sometimes a fair bit of fat under the skin, also the bones are a 1/3 to 1/2 of the total weight.
