I love the taste and convenience of these Beak & Sons gourmet sausages. There is usually no gristle and they are well made and cook up quickly and easily. I add them to hot dog rolls and add mustard.
These need to be cooked very carefully. The ones I broke the skin on shrunk a lot.. They had a lot of fat and I wasn’t a fan of the flavour but it was all the shop had left.
These shrank to chipolata size by the time they were cooked, too much water and fat.
Not much taste and rubbery to eat.
Purchased at Drakes, Gawler 19/9/21
I cooked one of these sausages in a frypan with no oil. Collected almost 2 tablespoons of fat after cooking. Probably the reason they are juicy but I’d rather not have all the fat. I think I will be buying from the butcher next time.
nice and thick! We like to have bbq’s all the time but the traditional snag can get boring after a while, this helps to mix up the taste with these as they are full or flavour. a little more expensive but nice when on sale. still great on bread with sauce and onion of course!
