A good old fashioned favourite of mine. I had gestational diabetes last pregnancy but craved sweets these did the trick. I rather eat them than real lollies.
Like I commented on the marsh mallows I also find these Gummy Bears to be a little misleading as well. Like the marshmallows that state on the left hand side of the back pack natural colours and flavours are naturally sweetened with STEVIA. Well they failed to include in that little section they also contain maltitol. Yes the ingredients are printed under the ingredients and in the nutritional panel but the DD company did not write that under there description on the left hand side of the back of the pack …why because they want you to think they are really natural and healthy….and the other additive are not at all good. The marshmallows have 36g maltitol and 43g isomalt per 100g these gummy bears have 76g maltitol per 100g . But another confusing question worries me, I can not find where these bears are actually made, the packaging states packaged in Australia from imported and local ingredients . Not quite sure about this as it does not state made in it states packed in ? Also may I just point out and YES the company does state this excessive consumption may have laxative effect and / or cause stomach discomfort. Why you may well ask, well because that is a side effect of this horrid ingredient maltitol.
Yes these gummy bears are nice tasting but they are not as good for you health as many may think.
I really like that these are sugarfree, I always have them on hand for a healthier snack option for the grandkids. They still taste yum, kids still live them, with no sugar
