A great way of mixing fruit together. You can use it like a Christmas Tree and healthy for the whole family.

Ingredients (serves 1)

  • 1 apple
  • 8 grapes (7 large, 1 small)

Method

  1. Peel and core apple. Using a sharp knife or an apple winder cut the apple into a spiral/spring.
  2. Add grapes in stretched spiral/spring.
  3. Serve

Notes

Also can use pear or fruit of your choice depending what your child likes.

  • Interesting way to eat an apple that I think I’ll take on. My son has recently had braces put on and he hates that he struggles to eat apples now. I’ll try this for him.

  • Interesting. How do you stop the apple getting that ugly brown color?

    • You can put a little lemon juice to stop the brown colour but it will make it a bit sour.

  • Now that’s thinking outside the box! My kids love our apple slinky machine, and we often have fruit kabobs. Can see this idea being a hit. Thanks.
