Ingredients (serves 3)

  • 4 granny smith apples
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp sultanas
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 Tip Top Thins in Soft Wholemeal
  • dollop almond butter for spreading

Method

  1. Stir together the apples, water, brown sugar, sultanas and cinnamon in a microwave safe bowl.
  2. Microwave for 7 minutes or until apples are soft.
  3. Spread almond butter over Tip Top Thins. Remove mixture from the microwave and spoon onto all Tip Top Thin slices.

  • My husband would love this! Definitely bookmarking for a Sunday brekkie.
    Alternative to using the microwave, I’ll put the apples on the stove top, no water, so the sugar can caramelise more. If I’m going to have sugar for breakfast I want to make the most of it hehe
