  • 1 med onion ,chopped
  • 1 med red and med green capsicum , cut into strips
  • 4 Rashes bacon, chopped

  • 1 packet dry french onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup (approx) white wine
  • 1/2 cup water

Method

  1. Pat the chicken dry and place in slow cooker ( or in a oven proof dish) season with salt and pepper
  2. Fry onion and mushrooms in butter for 5 mins until softened, pour over chicken
  3. Mix soup mix with water and wine and pour over chicken
  4. Cook for 5 hours on high in slow cooker ( or bake covered with foil in 180 deg. oven for 1 hour , or until juices run clear)

Notes

Cooked in the slow cooker or the oven this chicken comes out super tender and juicy. Serve with mashed potatoes and green beans or brussel sprouts
