A nice and easy cake to make for afternoon tea!


Ingredients (makes 1 22 cm cake)

  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 125 grams Butter
  • 2 cups Self raising flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3 Ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1 level teaspoon BiCarb soda
  • 1/2 punnet Raspberries

Method

  1. Cream butter and sugar
  2. Add eggs, mix, then add bananas
  3. Add half the flour and bicarb, mix well add the milk ,mix well Add the remainder of the flour and bicarb, mix well
  4. Stir through the raspberries
  5. Pour into a greased and paper lined 22 cm cake tin
  6. Bake in a moderate (180) oven 35 mins. or until cooked through when tested with a skewer

Notes

You could ice this cake if you like or serve it with cream. I just like it as it is with a cuppa!
