A simple meal to make and prepare.


Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 500 grams Beef strips
  • 2 tbls Vegetable oil
  • 4 cups Brocolli florets
  • 1 Onion, cut into wedges
  • 1/3 cup Soy sauce
  • 2 tbls Brown sugar
  • 2 tsp Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Ginger, minced

Method

  1. Combine soy sauce, sugar, garlic and ginger. Add beef and marinate for at least an hour.
  2. Heat 1 tbls of oil in a wok over medium high heat. Stir fry beef in batches until brown and remove. Reserve marinate mixture for later.
  3. Heat remaining oil and stir fry broccoli and onion for approximately 4-5 minutes.
  4. Add marinate sauce and return beef to pan. Combine. Cook until beef is done and heated through.
  5. Serve over rice or stir through noodles.

  • Beef and Broccoli is a favourite meat and veg combination.
