These yogurt chia pots must be placed in the fridge for twenty four hours as the seeds need to swell.

There is no added sugar to this recipe.

Ingredients (serves 2 | makes 2 serves )

  • 50ml Chia Seeds
  • 150g Strawberry Yoghourt
  • 100g Natural or Vanilla Almond Milk

Method

  1. Add Chia seeds to a mixing bowl
  2. Stir in Strawberry Yoghourt. Combine the Almond milk and mix well together.
  3. Place mixture into two serving bowls. Place in the refrigerator for twenty four hours. Enjoy with walnuts or fresh strawberries . This quick and tasty treat can be eaten at any time of the day. Even breakfast.

  • Great idea for when you have little time and can prepare the night before.

  • I could see myself having these for breakfast regularly. Easier than I thought to put together and reasonably inespensive.

  • I love Jalna yoghurt with muesli and blueberries. I’ve not tried chia seeds but I imagine the texture will freak me out a little. When I purchase rolls, etc. I always buy seedless. Not a fan of seeds!!

  • I’ve got a pot of Jalna coconut yoghurt that I wouldn’t mind trying this with for work with some fruit.

    • I hope you will make it with the coconut yoghurt. I have never purchased coconut yoghurt and must try Julnas. Leave another message and let us know how you go.

  • I’ve never eaten chia does it have a flavour? Looks interesting.

    • Hi, I hope you will make my recipe. No chia seeds have no taste of there own. The chia seeds swell up like sago. Sago also has no taste of it’s own. If you cook with chia seeds as in a hot recipe they will plump up in about 5 minutes. As this is a cold desert it needs the 24 hours and a little stir every now and then to separate the seeds. I hope you enjoy it.
