This slice is a yummy rich treat that everyone in the family will love!

Ingredients (makes 25 small slices)

  • 200g Dry biscuits
  • 125g Butter
  • 1/2 Cup Caster Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Golden Syrup
  • 2 Tbsp Cocoa powder
  • 2 Tbsp Desicated Coconut
  • tsp Vanilla
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 1/2 Cup Icing Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
  • Hot Water
  • Hundreds and Thousands

Method

  1. Pulse blitz or smash your dry biscuits. Leave some of them a little chunky to add crunchy bits to your slice. Add the cocoa powder, coconut, vanilla and egg and mix well.
  2. In saucepan, melt down the butter, sugar and golden syrup and then pour into the biscuit mix and stir until well combined. Tip onto a lined baking tray. Place in fridge to set for about 3 hours.
  3. To make the icing, add the icing sugar and cocoa powder together and add hot water a little at time stirring until you get a think pouring consistency. Pour over the top and sprinkle with hundreds and thousands. Place back into the fridge until well set, cut and enjoy.

Notes

The cooking time includes the setting times. I used left over biscuits that were in my cookie jar that no one seems to like. A great way to use them up instead of throwing them out.
