A quick tasty family meal also perfect for dinner guests


Ingredients (serves 6)

  • Chicken breast: 1 medium sided chicken breast
  • Short cut bacon: 4 rashes of short cut bacon
  • Cream: 300ml thickened cream
  • Sour cream: 150ml sour cream
  • Walnuts: A good handful of walnuts
  • Basil: Approx 3/4 of a bunch of basil
  • Chicken stock: 1/2 chicken stock cube
  • Garlic: 3-5 cloves of garlic
  • Salt and pepper To taste
  • Pasta: 3/4 bag of your preferred pasta ( I usually use spaghetti or fettuccine )

Method

  1. Put your water on to boil for the pasta
  2. In a blender or container for handheld mixer combine Cream, sour cream, basil, half your garlic and walnuts, blend until smooth
  3. Cut you chicken and bacon into small cubes and fry with the remainder of garlic
  4. Place pasta in boiling water to cook
  5. Once the meat and slightly browned and the blended cream mixture and allow to simmer for around 10mins
  6. Once pasta is cooked drain, rinse well and add the the sauce mixture and simmer for a further 10mins
  7. *Optional, serve with crusty bread

  • This looks very tasty. Going to add this into my must try recipes.
