Ingredients (serves 3)

  • 2 Cups Milk
  • 1/2 CUP White sugar
  • 3 tbsps Cornflour
  • 3 teapsoons Vanilla essence
  • 1 pinch Salt

Method

  1. In medium saucepan over medium heat, heat milk until bubbles form at edges.
  2. In a bowl, combine sugar, cornflour and salt.
  3. Pour mixture into hot milk, a little bit at a time stirring to dissolve. Continue to cook and stir until mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a metal spoon. Do not boil. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla essence. Pour into serving dishes. Can be Chilled before serving or eaten as a warm vanilla pudding.

  • Yum !! My whole family loves custard. Sometimes we have it hot but most of the time we have it cold with our dessert. Either way it’s still delicious :)
