Ingredients (serves 10)

  • 6 Egg Yolks
  • 1 Can Condensed Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Cornflour or Custard Powder
  • 2 sheet Ready rolled Puff Pastry
  • 1 tin Pineapple pieces

Method

  1. Combine egg yolk & condensed milk in a bowl
  2. Pre heat the sauce pan, add the mixed egg yolk & condensed milk
  3. Keep stirring while adding cornflour or custard powder. Keep stirring until it's thickened enough, then remove off from the heat
  4. Place a sheet of puff pastry into the bottom of a slice pan, place the custard mix on top of the pastry. Add the pineapple pieces on top & cover with another sheet of puff pastry.
  5. Cook it for 40 to 50 minutes

  • This would be way too sweet using condensed milk. It would not be easy combining the egg yolk with it either. I would use some of the pineapple juice and either cream or milk with the custard powder. You may need to add a small amount of sugar but nowhere near as much as condensed milk contains.

    • I love condensed milk! So sweet and so delicious!
