A quick and easy pie for dinner or even Lunch


Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 500g Diced Bacon
  • 1 Onion
  • 6 Eggs
  • 1 Cup of milk
  • 2 Sheets of puff pastry
  • 1 Cup of grated cheese

Method

  1. Grease a 22cm pie pan. Pull out sheets of pastry to defrost whilst getting other ingredients ready. Dice up bacon and onion and in a frying pan cook until crispy.
  2. In a seperate bowl, add eggs and milk and stir until well combined. Add salt and pepper if desired.
  3. Line pie pan with pastry sheets. Put in bacon and onion, then egg mixture over the top. Top with grated cheese and place in a 180degree oven and cook for 30min.

Notes

You could also add vegetables to this dish

  • just like mum used to make, nothing really fancy just all the nice stuff, thanks for sharing this timeless recipe, my mum used to put a little grated cheese in it and some slices of tomato if they were in season. got to make this, we used to have it many Sunday nights, delicious cold as well,
