The ground flaxseed in this recipe works wonders as an alternative to flour and adds some great nutrition, like plant-based omega-3s

Ingredients (makes 10 bars)

  • 2 cup rolled oats
  • 0.5 cup peanuts
  • 0.5 cup sesame seeds
  • 0.5 cup pumpkin seed
  • 0.75 cup dried cranberry
  • 0.5 cup sultanas
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 cup ground flaxseed
  • 0.5 cup water (or as needed)

Method

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients together
  2. Add a teaspoon of honey and the water (as needed) to make a dough that binds the ingredients together
  3. Bake for 180C for 10-15 minutes

  • Very healthy might try other nuts like cashew thanks

  • Great recipe – but do make it in one big square and cut up – small balls just don’t bind well enough when baking.
