Did you know that the recommended daily intake for sugar consumption is under 6 teaspoons a day?

And did you know that there are 14 teaspoons in just ONE single can of Coke alone? Wouldn’t you be better off switching that for some healthy brownies?

Childhood obesity is important to understand.

With childhood obesity rates soaring, type 2 diabetes rising, and mood and attention disorders rocketing through the roof, experts are increasingly looking to lifestyle factors that are to blame for this shocking health epidemic – and no other is more obvious that the amount of sugar in our lives, especially added sugars found in processed foods.

Falling victim to the convenience of these foods is something we can all relate to. We’ve all been stumped looking for something yummy to whip up for the kids after school or to fill the lunch boxes that doesn’t come in package!

This recipe for Healthy Brownies is about to end all that.

Cook once, eat twice!

Store in your refrigerator in a well sealed, glass or tupperware container for optimum freshness.  A couple of batches will last you for lunchbox snacks all week. You could also freeze these quite successfully. We’d suggest wrapping individually for easy serving.

  • I would love to make this although my husband hates dates and said it’s a no go. Hopefully they aren’t dominant in this slice.

  • Sounds great. I love things like this zapped in the microwave and then eaten with some ice cream but that makes it less healthy of course.

  • Problem with these is the expensive health food type ingredients that cost a fortune.

    • I think that the ingredients of this brownie aren’t that expensive ! And to make it cheaper you could substitute Almond butter with Peanut butter
