This lasts well and is far cheaper if you can get feta on sale than buying pre marinated feta. You can use on pizza, pasta or in salad and use the oil as dressing and simply top up your container so feta is once more covered.

  • 1kg Feta
  • Olive oil Enough to cover feta
  • Garlic and dried herbs A few tablespoons full or to own taste

  1. Put 1kg of Feta in a container that fits snugly.
  2. Put olive oil, herbs and crushed garlic in bowl. ( I use chilli flakes, dried basil and oregano, mixed herbs and salad herbs).Mix all together.
  3. Pour over feta in container and top up container with olive oil so feta is well covered. Seal and put in fridge.

  • I love feta with a passion, and I can’t wait to try and make my own marinated version, as it’s so expensive to buy ready-made.

  • this is such a great recipe – love it

  • love the combination of herbs that you use along with the chilli flakes

  • Is this better with Danish or greek feta? Has anyone got some comments?

  • I love the marinated feta but at $9 for a little tub is it quite expensive. Feta is on sale this week so I might have to grab some and marinate my own :)
