Hello!

  • Serves 6
  • Makes 6 pies
  • 15 minutes
  • Difficulty Easy
  • 4 Ingredients

This is the first recipe I made with my Kmart Pie Maker. The recipe is from the booklet that comes with the pie maker but is titled "Dam pet", which is clearly a typo. The pies had a slightly crunch top and the inside was soft and filled with melted chocolate. They were so delicious.

Ingredients (serves 6 | makes 6 pies )

  • 2 Cups Self-Raising Flour
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 3/4 cup Chocolate Chips
  • 1 Tb Brown Sugar

Method

  1. Pre-head your pie maker for 5 minutes
  2. Combine all ingredients in a bowl
  3. Spoon mixture into your pre-heated pie maker and cooker for 8-10 minutes or until golden.

Notes

You can add variations to this recipe. Try raisins or cranberries or white chocolate for something different. You could also add some cocoa to the mixture to make a double chocolate damper. YUM!

  • Yum….. Not owning one of these is saving me kilos.

  • What a wonderfully simple recipe

  • You could use Milo or Quik as chocolate flavouring which is probably cheaper than cocoa. If you want a completely different flavour there is other flavours of Quik or a variety of different essences. There is also a range natural food colourings you can use to change the appearance

  • I always forget about my pie maker. Going to have to get it out of the cupboard, dust it off and give his s go. Sounds like a great weekend afternoon snack with the kids whilst it’s raining.
