A super simple prawn dish for all prawn lovers.


Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 1kg green prawns, shelled
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 Tbs butter
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 300 ml bottle cream
  • 1/4 cup parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • rice to serve

Method

  1. Melt the butter in a deep fry pan and add the garlic, cooking for approx 4 mins or until aromatic.
  2. Add the prawns cook both sides until not quite cooked through.
  3. Add the white wine and cook until reduced and alcohol cooked out-approx 2 mins.
  4. Add the cream and salt and cook until prawns cooked through completely and cream thickened and reduced slightly.
  5. Remove off the heat and stir in the parsley.
  6. Serve on top off cooked rice.

Notes

This recipe is just as nice served with pasta (or gluten free pasta)

  • Have the prawns ready just figure out something else for the cream or the family can have it. Maybe coconut creme, not sure.


    • It would be nice with coconut cream as well, just a little different. You could always put fresh coriander instead of parsley to make it more Asian!

  • Love seafood and love your creamy looking recipe – the prawns look so delish. Great looking presentation – recipe/plate is beautifully presented.


    • Prawns are expensive at the moment, but I will buying some to make this recipe. I am looking forward to making this delish looking prawn dish.



      • If you leave the tails on the prawns the presentation is even better. This is my 11yo daughters fave dish
