I am sure many have had the classic peanut butter, sultana and carrot sandwich, well welcome to my twist on the classic. For late breakfast (brunch) today I decided to go a little healthy but still have the sweet hit as well. The delicious crumpets added the goodness of oat fibre, carrots and sultanas added the veggie and fruit element and the spread added the sweet sticky Goober goodness. Conclusion: just as delicious as the original.
FOR THOSE WHO ARE WONDERING ABOUT GOOBER. Smucker’s Goober Grape is an American spread, if you have ever watched an American movie where they have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches this is most likely what they use. The peanut butter has a slightly different consistency to our Australian and the jelly is, well jelly like in consistency not jammy and thick like ours. You can purchase at specialty stores that sell American food or online, I am lucky to have a small lolly shop not far from me that sells apart from lollies but some American grocery lines as well. It is a 510g jar and sells for $9.90, and nothing comes close to this amazingly wicked spread.
