This Asian delight was whipped up by me one night, without too much thought , I just used what I had to create this delicious meal … Can be served with steamed rice too ..


Ingredients (serves 4 | makes 4 Medium serving bowls)

  • 500 grams Pork belly
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger paste
  • Pinch Black pepper
  • 500 grams Long green beans
  • 1 tablespoon Peanut oil
  • 1/4 cup Water

Method

  1. Steam the Beans and set aside Place chopped pork belly In a hot wok and brown using the peanut oil
  2. Remove from wok and add all other ingredients with 1/4 cup of water stir well until reduced and thickened
  3. Add the cooked pork and toss through the green beans .. And serve

  • Love green beans and this pork look mouthwatering. YUM!

  • I could make this for my hub one day. Personally I prefer not to use honey, but that’s easy to replace with coconut palm- or yacon syrup.


    • Absolutely you could substitute the honey for anyone of them .. Great idea !

  • Sticky pork always tastes so yummy and good and I do love to eat it when it is cooked well. This recipe sounds good and the pork in the photo looks delicious.
