A fantastic reindeer face paint tutorial for the kids this christmas! Plus – it’s so much easier then it looks – see how here…

You will need:

  • Bowl of warm water
  • Face paint colours – dark blue, light blue, white, brown, red, green
  • Sponge
  • Paint brush
  • Optional glitter

a fantastic christmas face painting idea, reindeer face paint tutorial for kids

Step One – The snow and sky

Moisten your sponge and apply a layer of white paint above the lips. Once dry with a clean damp sponge apply the dark blue above the eyes (don’t worry if it’s a messy line you will cover it up in the next step.)

Step Two – The sky

Apply the light blue layer by dabbing on the paint with a sponge across the eye area… do a few rough dabs across the forehead and down onto the cheeks allowing the paint to blend in with the white a little bit.

Step Three – The snow

Using your paint brush and white paint – paint a few large , medium and small paint dots across the forehead.

Step Four – The reindeer

Using your paint brush and the brown paint – paint on the reindeers face, two round ears and antlers across the nose and cheeks.

Step Five – The reindeer’s face

Using your paint brush and the white paint paint in some eyes- you can dot them with the brown or if you have some use black. Now you can use the red paint to add in the nose and make it rudolph… you can use black if you want it to be a normal reindeer :)

– close up of the antlers.

Step Six – Lips

Using red paint or some lipstick you can finish the look with some cute red lips – mwha.

Optional Step Seven – Trees

if you have the extra time you can always add some cute little Christmas trees across the snow!
