Hello!

I recently had a revelation I thought I would share.  Lasting, happy relationships are built on a solid foundation.

When you really take the time to think about it, the most challenging part of our journey on earth comes down to relationships. Most importantly the relationship with yourself.

Then the relationship with your family, friends, work colleagues and even the lady who works in the local service station you see weekly when you fill up.

As relationships are a constant in our lives this makes them very important to our overall experience and wellbeing.

We are not taught about how to build, maintain and nurture functioning relationships at school. We are not taught this fundamental tool at all.

Interesting when our relationships create such an impact through our lives.

Instead our basic core values which base the way we behave stem mainly from our parents, teachers and let’s be honest characters from our favourite television shows! We also behave similarly in our core relationships as we saw our peers behave.

I say, it’s all good! We all have the choice to create the world we want. Firstly and most importantly we need to establish a relationship with ourselves.

A relationship needs a solid foundation. Strip it all back and see what your foundation is.

Do you believe in yourself? Love yourself? Are you kind to your body? Have abundance in your life? When you think of yourself do you feel full and expansive or empty and small?

Be the change you want to see in the world! It all starts with you. The world is all perception.

Choose to be the best person you possibly can be and in return the energy you put out into the world will manifest more of the same ie Law of Attraction.

Next it’s time to anaylse your relationships with everyone else. Build new core behaviours and new relationships that help you learn, grow and enjoy life! Manifest the best relationships with your partner, friends, family and even the lady working at the service station.

Do this by affirming daily what you want out of your relationships and be vigilant to build, grow and nurture only positive relationships!

Once you take hold and move forward with your great relationships you will find the ones without solid foundations will end up falling away. As without a good foundation nothing lasts too long.

  • My partner and I have been together for over 28 years, raised 2 kids and still going strong. All the other relationships must have been fake as we have no friends, just us and the kids, soon to be grand kids

  • Relationships are never going to develop properly if we don’t stop using our phones every opportunity we have.

  • This is why my DH and I have always put ourselves first, and our relationship first. I know that sounds negative for a parent to say, but without a strong foundation our family would suffer IMO. That’s not to say our kids are loved less or less important. It is like on an airplane when you are told to put your mask on first, then help your child. It benefits everyone to make sure the foundation is strong.

    • No point in putting your children first all the time, if the foundation of your family is not cared for and maintained, and is left to crumble and fall.
