THREE people have been killed after the vehicle they were travelling in flipped and burst into flames on a remote road in northwest Queensland.
A seven-year-old girl was the only one to survive the triple fatality, which occurred on the northern side of Gregory, roughly 300km north of Mount Isa, just before 6.30am on Wednesday.
QLD Police are investigating a fatal, single vehicle traffic crash that occurred in Gregory, north of Mount Isa, this morning.
Around 6.20am police were notified of the crash which occurred on Wills Developmental Road about 40km north from Gregory.
It is believed the vehicle had been travelling north when it rolled and caught fire.
Three people were pronounced deceased at the scene however are yet to be formally identified.
A 7-year-old girl was airlifted to the Mount Isa Base Hospital with minor injuries.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The Mount Isa Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
