  • When my children were about to start school a few years ago. We found orientation day great. Then our school started a program called a buddy system. Where each prep had a grade 4 student assigned to them on orientation day and the preps got to know them during this time and for their entire prep year my daughter had a buddy and she loved it. It made her feel comfortable and safe. My son was a grade 5 buddy for a prep Last year Now my daughter will be a buddy next year 2017.
