Hello!

As Mums, we all know that ours needs often fall to the way side to provide for our children. I was feeling rather run down and decided I really needed a bit of me attention…After getting everyone off to their various places I went to the shops ALONE (woot) and was deliriously happy to see my favourite shop was having a big sale! For the first time in as long as I can remember I bought myself a new set of pajamas…Might sound boring to some but they are gorgeous and I saved $60!

I came home and washed them….dried them….and then wore them while enjoying a cup of tea and a movie.

Doing something so simple has helped me regain my energy and happiness to keep on keeping on

What do you like to do to treat yourself?

  • Watching a movie (of my choosing) without being interrupted.

  • I love going for a massage. Not easy to organise but sometimes I leave the little one at childcare for that extra hour to squeeze in a little pampering.

  • You sound just like me! My highlight is going to the shops with my Lo which is a rarity! I bought myself a cardigan. This is the first thing I have bought since I bought myself maternity clothes!! I just felt sooooo good. I’m heading out for drinks with colleagues this sat ( first work function) and am hugely excited however cut short as partner is sick I’ll take a couple of hours over none anyday!!!

  • Glad you treated yourself. We definitely need to sneak something in for ourselves every now and then or we get mummy crazy, I personally like my bubble baths so hot you can barely sit in it and a great book…

  • Either a relaxing bubble bath with a good book, or going to get my hair done.

    • This sounds utterly delightful and such a treat! :)

  • Yeah, buying yourself something useful but beautiful can feel great.

  • Glad you got to have a little me time for yourself and it’s true its often those simple things that bring so much pleasure. Mine would be being able to have an afternoon coffee, seated in my garden with a good book to read for an hour. Just one hour and that would be bliss!

  • I do the grocery shopping, I love it as it’s a wee bit of me time and I still am thinking of everyone, but when I want a real treat, I go and get Starbucks on my own, loud music relaxation and I don’t stress about my driving (not a horrible driver just like to take off faster and go around corners faster). When I’m sick I love to curl up in bed and watch a movie and if my partner is home he takes care of my son. It’s funny how such small things mean so much when you have a baby.

  • lol if i locked a door my kids would be crazy

    • i get on the net as my break. I chill out from the norm and try to make things fun! Like if my kids want a drink, they have to get me a hug! If you want dinner, you have to shake your booty! My kids walk around saying shake your booty lol They are little so it is cute.

  • I lock the bathroom door so I can soak in the bath alone!

  • My pet treat is to have a bath when all kids are off to school kinder etc. I just soak the worries away. While reading my Fav Magazine. Something i really never get time to do.

  • My “me” time is making a coffee & hopping online to Mouths of Mum’s & getting my daily read from some really great interesting people!

  • Similar to you,a nice walk among the shops ALONE, sometimes not necessarily buying anything. Sitting in my favourite coffee shop watching the world go by. A leisurely walk home another coffee out the back and lam ready to face whatever the world is going throw at me.
