Hello!

It is so funny to reflect back and here myself as a teenager saying I will never have kids. At 21 that changed to only ever having my one gorgeous son Tyler, at 27 that became my two beautiful children with the edition of my precious Emily. Now at 31 I am 36 weeks pregnant – just about to welcome another son into the world. Even though I’ve been through this all before I am in no way feeling prepared for what’s ahead. The emotions running through my head range from excitement to anxiety, scared and nervous for how I’m going to be able to handle being the primary caregiver to such a tiny little bundle. I can’t wait for the chance to be a mum again yet a bit worried about the challenges I will have to face as nothing with a baby is ever predictable. I’m lucky I have many supportive people around me and I’m going to enjoy ever moment of motherhood before my kids grow up, move out and don’t want much to do with me anymore! Good luck to any other soon to be mums out there :)

  • You are fortunate that you have plenty of support. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Maybe your older children could have a holiday with relatives or a friend to give you some recovery time and get your baby (and you) into a resemblance of a routine, feeding and sleeping, not disturbing your older children and having them to re-settle too for a few days. Besides you are going to be sleep deprived whioch will delay your recovery and you washing will increase. Maybe if somebody offers to help they could help you with the washing and watch the baby while you have a nap/rest. Even a short time relaxes all your muscles according to my Mum’s GP.

  • Congratulations! When I was a teenager, I was going to have 10 babies, my first at age 18. Thankfully I grew out of that hope. I have 2 children and was 23 fir my first and 26 with my second. I’m very happy with that thank you
