Hello!

well just wanted to say, its still quite clear that some have no conscience and think copy and pasting the same answer again and again and again and again is an acceptable way to get points.

I WOULD LOVE IT if Mouth of Mums was to employ a filtering system for comments, so a person can only use wording once, and any other comments with the same wording have the points removed.

your not insulting yourself when you copy and paste, (and I do hope those of you that do read this) you are insulting the people who have taken time to write an article, or construct and share a recipe.

  • Does this happen a lot? I have only seen a few odd comments that don’t seem related to the story.

  • I’m glad I’m not the only one seeing this. I was particularly appalled when the ‘racker’ chose to paste their generic comments under a particularly sad article from a grief stricken mum. How do you think she would feel reading that!! Very disappointing :(

  • I have seen this in many posts. I think moms are on top of it as there are warnings about points racking.

  • i agree, it isn’t fair but many mums will appreciate the poster’s efforts so it doesn’t matter if others want to shortcut. I am sure that mom will sort it out.

  • Obviously the person who commented below mine hasn’t read the article/story as they have copied and pasted this comment in several stories including this one! Unbelievable.

  • Yes I have only just joined and I am noticing this a lot! It makes it unfair!

  • I notice the odd generic comment like ‘thanks for sharing’ but hadn’t thought too much about it.

    • I agree with your comments. I am here for my own experience.

      • Also; I am loving my Mom’s experience.

  • Copy and pasting is lazy, however I can’t be bothered getting all worked up about other people’s habits and I certainly don’t have time to go back through posts counting how many times a member made the exact same post – that’s for MOM admin to deal with.

I answer posts my way and others are free to do what they like (until they get caught) lol!

  • I haven’t noticed it yet but have only been on here a month but it doesn’t surprise me! People will do anything to get stuff for free! Quite often I read articles etc and don’t leave comments as it didn’t interest me or I don’t have anything useful to say!

  • I didn’t realise that this went on, but agree it isn’t fair.

  • At the end of the month, all points received from duplicate comments are deducted from the members account so it really doesn’t get you anywhere anyway :D

  • I just spent 15 minutes going through the comments on various articles and found this comment:
“there are some good comments here”
by the same person no less than 35 times before I stopped counting

    • KateLT, I’ve seen the same thing, and it’s probably the same person I’ve noticed. Disappointing that someone would be so selfish and greedy to resort to doing that. Pretty sad really. She knows who she is, and hopefully she’s really proud of herself.

  • I got so fed up with it I stopped coming onto this website for quite a while. Seeing the same person make the same comments again and again, and half the time the comment bears no resemblance to the article, or it is “a great read”…. and to know they will get rewarded for it by getting one of the great monthly prizes -as I said, I just gave up!

  • I thought I read on another post that it was all sorted. I have gone into reviews and because I am interested in a couple of things for future purchase, I like to get feedback and I have noticed people have submitted reviews mentioning that they would love to try it please. They also give star rating. I think that is wrong if you have not tried the product at all.

    • That’s just wrong! You need to actually try and use the product before you can have an opinion.
