Hello!

This is not really a personal story but more of a ‘personal musing’. We hear so much these days about successful women rocking the toddler, baby, perfect home, adorable husband & of course the latest fashion accessory the ‘mommy blog’ (I think some women get started at conception) , we hear stories of dream births and the big dilemmas about where to holiday this season beach, private island or five star city resort? While all this is nice, and often relevant to new mums I thought we should just have a little mention that it’s ok to not be ‘rocking it’ if you find yourself struggling under an enormous load it’s ok to stop & ask for help, or to just slow down and kick off the super mum cape. We all know some days can be hard, even some weeks or months & this is ok, it’s part of the ride! If you ever feel yourself beginning to drown don’t struggle reach out, you will be surprised at just how many hands will reach out to lend a hand!

  • So true, no one’s life is perfect, some just want us to think it is.

  • What a beautiful thing to write about and so true. I don’t believe that anyone’s life is perfect. Some people like others to believe that this is the case for their life but if you look a little closer you will see that it is not. We can only try and be the best that we can be. Happiness and good health is so important. Some days happiness can be harder than others. I don’t think anyone should ever be embarrassed to find some days harder than others.

    • Very well put Natasha. Some days are harder than others.

  • I agree with you here i have a few friends who always feel as tho they have to be bigger and better than anyone else, when really they are no better at being a wife, a friend, a mother than i am.
I am happy with my life yeah i would love to never have to worry about money or bills but hey ho thats life and i think some people need to just be them and not pretend.
