yeah we need to fix the families that we grow up in. a great deal of damage is done to people and they carry on the cycle of abuse.

I think I saw a commercial not long ago that the Government is cracking down on DV and giving women more rights . Hopefully it will be better than the old days where there are no rules and no hope of evening catching the perpetraters. Not sure but they might be putting more funding into DV as well .

The Government is getting on board with money to find a solution – lets work together on this issue.

This is a problem that needs to be addressed with education which starts in schools and continues as it is lifelong and needs to be spread throughout all communities. Attitudes need to change and people need to actively support and participate in activities that say “NO” to violence. Doing something is the only way to make change happen; support organisations that work in this area and let your voice be heard.

I just don’t understand the underlying motivation. It’s so twisted yet so widespread.

  I will never understand how a parent can kill a child just to get back at their ex, to make them pay for leaving them. They’re OUR kids for heavens sake. They’re there for us to love, nurture, protect. I’ll never comprehend the violence
