Hello!

I have tried several dusters and had little success in cleaning delicate objects. They seem to sparkle for a little while and then lose shine. Does anyone have a successful way of dusting and cleaning delicate objects? Christmas is around the corner and I would love for everything to look beautiful and sparkle.

  • Have you tried a toothbrush? And the other contributed has a good suggestion too of warm soapy water

  • I wish I had an answer too. The best thing I’ve found is to actually wash (in warm soapy water) a glass oil lamp that gives me particular trouble (with dust in sticky oil etc!). Sometimes I dunk everything else that can be dunked – plastic trophies, china ornaments etc. – and they also come out clean but I need to dry them etc. so not useful for daily or last minute polishing up. I think you can buy sprays that are meant to repel dust etc. but have never tried them. A review of 4 anti-dust sprays is found at https://household-tips.thefuntimesguide.com/dust-control-spray/
